(1 Day Training Course)

Summary:
Key knowledge of vanadium ore processing
Introduction:
Vanadium is a transition metal used predominately for the production of high strength steels. Approximately 80% of vanadium produced goes into steel production, with various end products including high strength tools, structural applications and jet engine components. The vanadium market fluctuates widely in short periods and gives the relatively small market demand, with major influences being steel demand and new operations coming online. China, Russia and South Africa dominate the vanadium market in terms of resources and production numbers.
The vanadium processing workshop is designed to cover the demands and uses of vanadium, the geology and mineralogy of vanadium deposits, metallurgical testwork, beneficiation of vanadium ores, ferrovanadium and vanadium chemical production and knowledge of current major vanadium processing operations.
